H.R. No. 3107
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, JaDarious Spikes of Burkeville High School achieved
great distinction by winning the gold medal in the Class 1A
200-meter dash and the silver medal in the Class 1A 100-meter dash
at the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State
Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 15, Mr. Spikes turned in
notable performances, clocking 22.64 seconds in the 200-meter event
and 11.04 seconds in the 100-meter event; and
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
high school track & field athletes, JaDarious Spikes has ably
represented his school, and he will cherish his memories of this
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate JaDarious Spikes on his success in
the Class 1A 200- and 100-meter dashes at the 2015 UIL Track & Field
State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Spikes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
