H.R. No. 3108
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Burkeville High School boys'
4 x 200 meter relay team achieved great distinction by
participating in the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track &
Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 15, Reginald Marsh, JaDarious
Spikes, Donovan Wysinger, and Jerry Hartsfield gave a fine showing
in the Class 1A 4 x 200 meter relay event, clocking in at 1 minute
and 32.39 seconds to finish in fourth place overall; and
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete among some of the
elite track & field athletes in the Lone Star State, these fine
young Texans have ably represented their school, and they may
indeed reflect with pride on their notable accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Burkeville High
School boys' relay team on participating in the Class 1A 4 x 200
meter relay at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to
them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
