H.R. No. 3109
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Grayland Arnold of Kountze High School achieved
great distinction by winning the silver medal in the Class 3A boys'
100-meter dash at the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track &
Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, Mr. Arnold turned in a
notable performance, clocking in at 10.71 seconds to take second
place overall; and
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
high school track & field athletes, Grayland Arnold has ably
represented his school, and he will cherish his memories of this
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Grayland Arnold on his silver medal
finish in the Class 3A boys' 100-meter dash at the 2015 UIL Track &
Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Arnold as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
