| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline Sandoval of Hargill has rendered |

| 10 | 11 | | The University of Texas--Pan American Foundation, this program is |

| 11 | 12 | | designed to encourage UTPA students to pursue careers in public |

| 12 | 13 | | service; Ms. Sandoval has worked in the Capitol office of State |

| 13 | 14 | | Representative Armando "Mando" Martinez, where she has handled a |

| 14 | 15 | | range of important responsibilities over the course of the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | legislative session; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sandoval graduated cum laude in 2014 with a |

| 17 | 18 | | bachelor's degree in sociology from UTPA, where she was involved in |

| 18 | 19 | | Alpha Kappa Delta and the Law School Preparation Institute; |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | aspiring to a career in the legal profession, she has already gained |

| 20 | 21 | | work experience at law firms and plans to attend law school in |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | pursuit of a juris doctor degree; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This notable young Texan has performed her duties as |

| 23 | 24 | | a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she has gained |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | valuable leadership experience while learning more about the issues |

| 25 | 26 | | confronting citizens of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby honor Jacqueline Sandoval for her participation |

| 28 | 29 | | in the Rio Grande Valley Legislative Internship Program and extend |
