5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Alyssa Little of Keller has attained the Girl Scout |

7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Little, of Troop |

8 | 9 | | No. 3371, successfully met a series of requirements emphasizing |

9 | 10 | | community service, personal and spiritual growth, positive values, |

10 | 11 | | and leadership skills; in addition, she planned and implemented a |
---|
11 | 12 | | Girl Scout Gold Award project that involved building a 6-by-15-foot |
---|
12 | 13 | | storage unit for the Keller High School color guard team; she |
---|
13 | 14 | | devoted more than 84 hours to the completion of this project and |
---|
14 | 15 | | developed a keen understanding of the importance of time |
---|
15 | 16 | | management, the benefits of business relationships, and the value |

16 | 17 | | of giving back; and |

17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, By encouraging young women to build confidence, |

18 | 19 | | explore career opportunities, and become more socially conscious, |

19 | 20 | | the Girl Scout program is helping its participants to achieve their |

20 | 21 | | greatest potential as engaged citizens and leaders; and |

21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Little has |

22 | 23 | | demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |

23 | 24 | | ideals of the Girl Scout organization, and she indeed merits |

24 | 25 | | special recognition for her achievement; now, therefore, be it |

25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
