R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Samantha Rago has ably served her fellow Texans as
an intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody during the
84th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Rago has provided vital
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in
addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
valuable experience in the field of public service; and
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso and a 2012 graduate of Coronado
High School, Ms. Rago currently is pursuing a bachelor's degree in
political communications at The University of Texas at Austin, and
she hopes to attend law school after completing her undergraduate
studies; active within her college community, she is a member of the
Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law fraternity and the Alpha Lambda Delta and
Phi Eta Sigma honor societies at UT; in her leisure time, she enjoys
spending time outdoors, exercising, and wake surfing; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Samantha Rago for her service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rago as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
