| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Paul and Norma Jean Swanson of Waco |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 6, 2014; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Paul Swanson and the former Norma Jean Taylor were |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | united in matrimony at First Lutheran Church in 1954; through the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | years, their family has grown to include their children Stephen |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Swanson and his wife, Rhonda, and Eric Swanson and his fiancée, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Terri Clark, as well as their grandchildren, Justin Swanson and his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | wife, Ashley, and Forrest Swanson; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. |

| 15 | 15 | | Swanson are both retired and are active in the congregation of St. |

| 16 | 16 | | Matthew Lutheran Church; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |

| 18 | 18 | | decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |

| 21 | 21 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Paul and Norma Jean Swanson on |

| 24 | 24 | | their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 25 | 25 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
