| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Andres Cerecero has ably served his fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 7 | | an intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody during the |

| 7 | 8 | | 84th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Cerecero has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Cerecero is a sophomore at The University of |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Texas at Austin, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | government with certification in business administration; active |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | in campus life, he serves as parliamentarian and as chair of the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Student Affairs Committee for the Liberal Arts Council, as an |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | at-large member of the Senate of College Councils, and as a mentor |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | for the Gateway Scholars Program and for Texas Men of Excellence; he |

| 20 | 21 | | plans to attend law school with the goal of one day becoming a |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | criminal prosecutor and eventually pursuing a political career; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |

| 23 | 24 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |

| 24 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Andres Cerecero for his service as a |
