| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Angel Jenkins has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Jenkins has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Jenkins earned a bachelor's degree in history |

| 14 | 15 | | from Clark Atlanta University and a juris doctor from Southern |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | University Law Center; she also completed studies in European law |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | and comparative constitutional law during a summer program at |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | University College of London; her professional experience includes |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | work with the Wendy R. Davis for Governor campaign, the Louisiana |

| 19 | 20 | | State Senate, and the Twentieth Judicial District Chancery Court in |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Nashville, Tennessee; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |

| 22 | 23 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 23 | 24 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
