45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Angel Jenkins has ably served her fellow Texans as
67 an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during
78 the 84th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Jenkins has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1011 in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
1112 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
1213 valuable experience in the field of public service; and
1314 WHEREAS, Ms. Jenkins earned a bachelor's degree in history
1415 from Clark Atlanta University and a juris doctor from Southern
1516 University Law Center; she also completed studies in European law
1617 and comparative constitutional law during a summer program at
1718 University College of London; her professional experience includes
1819 work with the Wendy R. Davis for Governor campaign, the Louisiana
1920 State Senate, and the Twentieth Judicial District Chancery Court in
2021 Nashville, Tennessee; and
2122 WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
2223 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2324 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2425 be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Angel Jenkins for her service as a
2728 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
2829 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
2930 her endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Jenkins as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
