| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Cynthia Maldonado is graduating from Pasadena Early |

| 6 | 7 | | College High School on June 4, 2015; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, |

| 8 | 9 | | Ms. Maldonado has completed an accelerated course of study in which |

| 9 | 10 | | she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | of life science from San Jacinto Community College; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Maldonado also participated in a number of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | extracurricular activities at PECHS, serving as president of the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Mujeres Latinas Avanzado club and taking an active role as a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | performer in school musicals and talent shows; she has been |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | recognized for her academic achievement by the National Society of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Collegiate Scholars, and she is currently a member of the Phi Theta |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Kappa Honor Society; upon graduation, she plans to continue her |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | education at Texas A&M University, where she will study |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | biochemistry; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young |

| 21 | 22 | | Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and |

| 22 | 23 | | determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired |

| 23 | 24 | | along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia Maldonado on her |

| 28 | 29 | | the Class of 2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
