| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Evelyn Aileen Mendez is graduating from Pasadena |

| 6 | 7 | | Early College High School on June 4, 2015; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, |

| 8 | 9 | | Ms. Mendez has completed an accelerated course of study in which |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate of arts |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | degree in business from San Jacinto Community College; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A first generation graduate, Ms. Mendez plans to |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | further her education by attending the University of Houston-Clear |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Lake, where she will pursue a degree in marketing as she works |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | toward a career in sales; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young |

| 16 | 17 | | Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired |

| 18 | 19 | | along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Evelyn Aileen Mendez on her |

| 23 | 24 | | the Class of 2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
