| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Angel Salazar is graduating from Pasadena Early |

| 6 | 7 | | College High School on June 4, 2015; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, |

| 8 | 9 | | Mr. Salazar has completed an accelerated course of study in which |

| 9 | 10 | | he has earned both a high school diploma and an associate's degree |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | in mathematics from San Jacinto Community College; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Salazar immigrated to the United States with his |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | family from Monterrey, Mexico, when he was seven months old; he has |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | been admitted to the Cullen College of Engineering at the main |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | campus of the University of Houston, and his interest in working for |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | NASA has inspired him to pursue a major in mechanical engineering; |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, During his years at PECHS, this accomplished young |

| 18 | 19 | | Texan has distinguished himself through his skill and |

| 19 | 20 | | determination, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired |

| 20 | 21 | | along the way will serve him well in the years to come; now, |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
