| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The closing days of the 84th Regular Session offer |

| 8 | 9 | | proven vital to the Texas House of Representatives; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Appointed to the post in 2011, Mr. Griesel has ably |

| 10 | 11 | | guided the speaker and members through the daily proceedings of the |

| 11 | 12 | | legislative session and advised them on legal and parliamentary |

| 12 | 13 | | options in a wide range of matters; he is aided in his duties by |

| 13 | 14 | | deputy parliamentarian Shalla Sluyter, parliamentary assistant |

| 14 | 15 | | Trevor Rice, parliamentary clerk Olivia Mora, and legal extern |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Chris Griesel and his colleagues have demonstrated |
