| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 6 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Ray and Mary Sue del |

| 7 | 8 | | Llano of Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage |

| 8 | 9 | | on April 11, 2014; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Ramon del Llano and the former Mary Sue Croll were |

| 10 | 11 | | joined in matrimony in 1964 at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C., |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | where the groom was stationed with the U.S. Army and the bride |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | worked as a legal secretary; through the years, they have been |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | blessed with a treasured family that includes three daughters and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | their spouses, Ann Elizabeth del Llano, Deborah Jean and Andres |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Stewart, and Marcia and Brent Crowder, as well as five |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | grandchildren, Olivia, Elena, Andres Ramon, Levi, and Sierra; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Midland since 1970, Mr. del Llano |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | worked as a draftsman for Arco Oil and Gas for 30 years and was also |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | employed with Ref-Chem and Community and Senior Services, while |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Mrs. del Llano is retired from a career that included nine years as |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | an executive assistant with Meridian Oil; in addition to meeting |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | their work and family responsibilities, they have been valued |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church for 44 years, serving |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | their fellow congregants in such roles as Sunday school teachers |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | and youth counselors; and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Together this compassionate pair have volunteered |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | with such worthy endeavors as Safe Place of the Permian Basin, |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | Parents Anonymous of Midland-Odessa, Meals on Wheels, the local |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | chamber of commerce, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program; in |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | their leisure, they enjoy traveling, walking their dogs, and |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | watching movies; and |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. del Llano have enjoyed five decades of |

| 33 | 34 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |

| 35 | 36 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 36 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 37 | 38 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ray and Mary Sue del Llano on their |
