H.R. No. 407
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Charles and Beverly
Tabor of Mineola celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage
on August 22, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tabor were joined in matrimony in 1964
at a ceremony held at the First Methodist Church in Mesquite;
through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family
that includes their children, Shawn Tabor and his wife, Lori, and
Joshua Tabor and his wife, Amanda, as well as their grandchildren,
Cole, Cambell, and Braxton; and
WHEREAS, Valued residents of the Mineola community,
Mr. Tabor was a math teacher for 32 years, and Mrs. Tabor was a
school counselor and elementary school teacher for 31 years; they
both retired in 1997, and since then, Mr. Tabor has spent his
leisure time playing golf while Mrs. Tabor has engaged in volunteer
work and gardening, and they both delight in visiting with their
loved ones; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tabor have enjoyed five decades of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Beverly Tabor on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tabor as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
