| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 7 | | by a great and enduring love, Mack and Julia Johnson of Quitman |

| 7 | 8 | | celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 17, 2014; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mack Johnson and the former Julia Faye Kirbo were |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | united in matrimony at First Baptist Church in Quitman in 1954; |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | through the years, they became the parents of four children, Marty, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Donal, David, and the late Debra Kay, and today, their family has |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | grown to include two daughters-in-law, Pam and Anita, as well as |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | four grandchildren, Bobby, Kyle, Janelle, and Amber, and two |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | great-grandchildren, Kimberlee and Noah; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, the couple |

| 16 | 17 | | have resided in the Quitman area for the entirety of their married |

| 17 | 18 | | lives; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |

| 19 | 20 | | decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |

| 20 | 21 | | their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has |

| 21 | 22 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |

| 22 | 23 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Mack and Julia Johnson on their |

| 25 | 26 | | 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
