 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, In recognition of their fine performances during the
 2014 season, Reece Barrett and Josh Hight of the Calallen High
 School Wildcats have been named as honorable mention selections for
 the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors Class 5A All-State
 football team; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Brian and Tracey Barrett, Reece Barrett
 helped anchor the Wildcats' defense from his spot at linebacker; he
 tallied 118 tackles and five sacks on the year to go along with four
 forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries; and
 WHEREAS, Josh Hight also shined from the linebacker position,
 notching 85 tackles, six sacks, and two interceptions; he is the son
 of Robert and Janeen Hight; and
 WHEREAS, With the assistance of Mr. Barrett and Mr. Hight,
 Calallen posted three shutouts and continued the school's
 impressive streak of reaching the state playoffs, which now stands
 at 30 consecutive seasons; moreover, this talented duo were named
 to the 30-5A All-District Team and the All-South Texas Defensive
 Second Team; and
 WHEREAS, With their combination of skill and dedication,
 these two talented teammates have proven themselves to be athletes
 of exceptional ability, and they are indeed deserving of this
 prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby honor Reece Barrett and Josh Hight on their
 selection as members of the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors
 Class 5A All-State team and extend to the players sincere best
 wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Barrett and Mr. Hight as an expression of high
 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
