45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Residents of Throckmorton County lost an admired
67 community leader with the passing of Wilton Ernest Cantrell of
78 Elbert on January 26, 2015, at the age of 72; and
89 WHEREAS, Wilton Cantrell was born in Hog Creek on September
910 10, 1942, to Raymond and Emma Cantrell; he served with the United
1011 States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and after returning
1112 to civilian life made his living as a farmer and rancher in Elbert;
1213 he was elected county commissioner of Precinct 4 in Throckmorton
1314 County; and
1415 WHEREAS, The father of two children, Christopher and Kaylee,
1516 Mr. Cantrell later welcomed into his family two grandchildren,
1617 Taylor and Ace; and
1718 WHEREAS, Wilton Cantrell served his country and his community
1819 with great dedication, and he is deeply missed by all those who had
1920 the good fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it
2021 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2122 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Wilton Ernest
2223 Cantrell and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:
2324 to his daughter, Kaylee Cadotte, and her husband, Andrew; to his
2425 grandchildren, Taylor and Ace Cadotte; to his sister-in-law, Leona
2526 Hickam; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2829 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Wilton
2930 Ernest Cantrell.
