| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kyle Kendall retired as owner and operator of |

| 6 | 7 | | Stanton Drug Store in February 2015, drawing to a close 44 years of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Hereford, Mr. Kendall graduated from |

| 9 | 10 | | Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1970; he began his career |

| 10 | 11 | | at a pharmacy in Odessa, where he worked for a decade before moving |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | to Stanton, and he bought Stanton Drug Store in 1983; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Stanton Drug Store has been a treasured community |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | institution for more than six decades, and a number of its employees |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | have worked at the store for nearly 30 years; in addition to filling |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | prescriptions for area residents, the pharmacy has prospered as a |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | popular eatery and social gathering place; Mr. Kendall has retained |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | the small-town, soda fountain atmosphere as well as a loyal |

| 18 | 19 | | customer base, while also overseeing several renovations to the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | store, such as an expanded pharmacy area; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Kendall enjoys the love |

| 21 | 22 | | and support of his wife, Brenda, and their children, Kenneth and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | Bonnie; now that he has stepped away from the pharmacy counter, |

| 23 | 24 | | Mr. Kendall looks forward to traveling and continuing to be an |

| 24 | 25 | | active member of the Downtown Church of Christ in Stanton; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Kyle Kendall's dedication, professionalism, and |

| 26 | 27 | | commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the citizens of |

| 27 | 28 | | Stanton, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent |
