 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Rhonda Cummins was named 2014 Woman of the Year by
 the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce; and
 WHEREAS, A longtime resident of the Gulf Coast, Ms. Cummins
 gives generously of her time and talents in behalf of many civic
 organizations and activities; she has worked in conjunction with
 the Texas General Land Office to organize and conduct biannual
 Adopt-A-Beach cleanups, and she has contributed to the success of
 the Little Chocolate Bayou Wetland Restoration project, the
 "Plastic Navy" kayaking fleet, and other notable projects; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Cummins is a marine extension agent in Texas A&M
 University's Texas Sea Grant program; an active congregant at Grace
 Episcopal Church in Galveston, she also provides significant
 support to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic School, serving on the
 school's advisory board and as chair of the outreach committee; and
 WHEREAS, Through her many worthwhile endeavors, Rhonda
 Cummins has made a positive difference in her community, and her
 achievements have earned her widespread admiration and
 appreciation; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Rhonda Cummins on her selection as
 2014 Woman of the Year by the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce and
 extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Cummins as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
