| 9 | 10 | | incorporated in 1887 with the arrival of the Gulf, Colorado, and |

| 10 | 11 | | Santa Fe Railway; the city has grown immensely since its early days |

| 11 | 12 | | on the Texas frontier, and it currently boasts a population of |

| 12 | 13 | | nearly 45,000, almost triple the number reported in the 2000 |

|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Today, the City of Wylie, Wylie Independent School |

| 15 | 16 | | District, Wylie Chamber of Commerce, and Wylie Economic Development |

| 22 | 23 | | outstanding schools; moreover, while it is one of the fastest |

| 24 | 25 | | percent in 2014, and Wylie Fire Rescue is one of only 13 departments |

| 25 | 26 | | in the state to earn the highest Public Protection Classification |
