| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Born on July 29, 1956, to C. J. and Dorothy Dufour, |

| 10 | 11 | | Jody Longoria grew up in Edinburg with three older sisters; she |

| 11 | 12 | | attended St. Joseph's Catholic School as a young girl and later |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | graduated from Edinburg High School, where she was a member of the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | school choir and volleyball team; she went on to earn a degree from |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Texas A&I University before spending 17 years as a supervisor with |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | the Texas Department of Human Services; she eventually found her |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | true calling in the classroom, dedicating nearly two decades of her |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | life as a teacher at Johnny G. Economedes High School; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan frequently volunteered her time |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | with a number of worthwhile community organizations, including |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | local 4H and FFA clubs, the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, and |

| 21 | 22 | | the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Blessed with a loving family, Mrs. Longoria enjoyed |

| 23 | 24 | | 34 years of rewarding marriage with her husband, Osvaldo; she was |

| 24 | 25 | | the devoted mother of two sons, Justin and Kyle, and she later knew |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | the joy of welcoming a grandson, Luke, into her cherished family; |

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Jody Longoria |

| 28 | 29 | | will remember the way she touched their lives with her warmth, |

| 29 | 30 | | optimism, and wonderful sense of humor, and she will forever hold a |

| 30 | 31 | | treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
