| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Andrew W. Killingsworth of Boy Scouts of America |

| 6 | 7 | | Troop No. 405 in Georgetown has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, |

| 7 | 8 | | and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |

| 9 | 10 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |

| 10 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |

| 11 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. Killingsworth has earned 32 merit badges, more than |

| 12 | 13 | | the requisite amount, and he has successfully completed an Eagle |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Scout project of benefit to his community, constructing three bin |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | disposal centers at Gateway College Preparatory School, where he is |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | a senior; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |

| 17 | 18 | | leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | highest rank that scouting offers; he has spent 82 days and nights |

| 20 | 21 | | camping at Camp Pirtle, Lost Pines, and Camp Sol Mayer, and he |

| 21 | 22 | | participated in a Philmont backpacking expedition in 2012; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Killingsworth's dedication to |

| 23 | 24 | | excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have |

| 24 | 25 | | proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed |

| 25 | 26 | | reflect with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew W. Killingsworth on |
