H.R. No. 857
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Livingston Elite Cheer team
distinguished themselves with their performances in two recent
competitions; and
WHEREAS, This talented group of young Texans, ranging from 7
to 11 years of age, took part in the United Cheer South Texas State
Championship in Houston on December 14, 2014, and were named grand
champions in the recreational division; they went on to attend the
United Cheer Texas Open Championship in Katy on January 31, 2015,
and took home the crown in the recreational elementary division;
and
WHEREAS, Coached by Mandy Green, the members of the
Livingston Elite Cheer team include Annetta Boothe, Hailey Collier,
Olivia Cronk, Ytzel Davalos, Shelby Flannery, Madalyn Green, Hannah
Grace Handeland, Ashley Howard, Lauren Keeley, Sonya Kelley, Renee
Kirby, Kyra Maddox, Jon'Toyrian McNeal, Za'Mirajn Pecero, Mia
Poncho, Julia Pulley, Payton Reeves, Savannah Ruiz, Lori Schoppe,
Chesney Sweet, Michaela Villarreal, and Gabriela Watson; and
WHEREAS, With their hard work and commitment to excellence,
these talented performers have realized notable success, and they
may take justifiable pride in their outstanding achievements; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby recognize the Livingston Elite Cheer team for
its accomplishments and extend to the team's members sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
