| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, More than 10,000 students from 100 area elementary |

| 9 | 10 | | and middle schools competed in the spelling bee, with a winner from |

| 10 | 11 | | each school advancing to the regional competition; there, Kaelin |

| 11 | 12 | | bested her rivals by correctly spelling the word "nickelodeon," |

| 12 | 13 | | earning a championship trophy and a spot in the Scripps National |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A fifth-grader at Tuloso-Midway Intermediate School |

| 15 | 16 | | in Corpus Christi, Kaelin placed second in her school spelling bee |

| 16 | 17 | | in 2014; she is an avid reader, and at 10 years old, she has |

| 17 | 18 | | developed a vocabulary that would be impressive at any age; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Kaelin Bunting has demonstrated exceptional |

| 19 | 20 | | intelligence, determination, and maturity in successfully pursuing |

| 20 | 21 | | her goal, and she is a source of great pride for her loved ones, |
