| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Popp was awarded this prestigious accolade at |

| 9 | 10 | | the organization's annual board meeting in October 2014, when he |

| 10 | 11 | | was lauded for his contributions to preserving soil and water on his |

| 11 | 12 | | farm north of Lindsay; sponsored by the TSSWCB and the Association |

| 12 | 13 | | of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts, the award is part of |

| 13 | 14 | | the Conservation Awards Program, which honors farmers that utilize |

| 14 | 15 | | wise practices in their use of renewable natural resources; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan has exhibited great care and |

| 16 | 17 | | dedication in the management of his land; he employs no-till |

| 17 | 18 | | farming techniques to conserve moisture, promotes plant diversity |

| 18 | 19 | | in his fields through the use of cover crops, and minimizes the use |

| 19 | 20 | | of fertilizers; moreover, Mr. Popp has served as a valued resource |
