 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
 of Everardo Morin Torres of Hondo, who passed away on January 18,
 2015, at the age of 83; and
 WHEREAS, Born on September 22, 1931, Everardo Torres,
 affectionately known as "Everett," was the son of Estanislado L.
 and Eulogia Morin Torres; he served with the United States Air Force
 and saw duty during the Korean War as a radio operator with the 13th
 Communications Squadron of the Far East Air Forces at the U.S. Naval
 Station in Seattle; Mr. Torres held the rank of airman second class
 and earned several honors, including the Good Conduct Medal, the
 National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the
 U.N. Service Medal; and
 WHEREAS, In civilian life, Mr. Torres worked as a carpenter;
 he liked to go fishing, and he was active in his community and in
 Aguinaldo Pruneda Post No. 524 of the American Legion; and
 WHEREAS, The father of seven children, Everardo, Everett,
 Karim, Joel, Nuri, Stacy, and the late Lisa Torres, Mr. Torres
 enjoyed spending time with his family, which grew to include 15
 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, Everardo Morin Torres enjoyed a life that was rich
 in the intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all
 those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Everardo "Everett"
 Morin Torres and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
 family: to his children, Everardo O. Torres Jr., Everett Ernest
 Torres and his wife, Whitney, Karim J. Torres and his wife, Tina,
 Joel Torres, Nuri T. Rodriguez and her husband, Francisco, and
 Stacy Ann Torres; to his siblings, John Henry, Ricardo, Ray, Jesse,
 Alvaro, and Maria Dolores Torres, Rebecca DeLeon, Mary Ruth
 Dziengel, and Gloria Grove; to his grandchildren and
 great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Everardo
 Morin Torres.
