| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 91, Transportation Code, | |
| 11 | 11 | is amended by adding Section 91.076 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 91.076. USE OF CERTAIN FEDERAL FUNDS FOR MASS TRANSIT | |
| 13 | 13 | PASSENGER RAIL PROJECT. The department, a local governmental | |
| 14 | 14 | entity, or another political subdivision of this state may not use | |
| 15 | 15 | money provided by the Federal Transit Administration for a mass | |
| 16 | 16 | transit passenger rail project. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. Section 91.076, Transportation Code, as added by | |
| 18 | 18 | this Act, applies only to federal funds from the Federal Transit | |
| 19 | 19 | Administration provided to the Texas Department of Transportation, | |
| 20 | 20 | a local governmental entity, or another political subdivision of | |
| 21 | 21 | this state on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
