A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a deduction from a state employee's wages or a retiree's
annuity for membership fees in a state employee organization.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 403.0165, Government
Code, is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 403.0165. CERTIFICATION OF [PAYROLL DEDUCTION FOR]
STATE EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION.
SECTION 2. Sections 403.0165(a), (b), (c), (e), and (h),
659.1031, and 814.009, Government Code, are repealed.
SECTION 3. On the effective date of this Act, an
authorization for a deduction under former Section 403.0165(a),
659.1031, or 814.009, Government Code, expires.
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
