| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 8835.054, Special District Local Laws | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 8835.054. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES. (a) Sections | |
| 13 | 13 | 36.060(a), (b), and (d), Water Code, do not apply to the district. | |
| 14 | 14 | (b) A director is [not] entitled to receive compensation for | |
| 15 | 15 | serving as a director of not more than $10 a day for each day the | |
| 16 | 16 | director actually spends performing the duties of a director. The | |
| 17 | 17 | fees of office may not exceed $150 a year. | |
| 18 | 18 | (c) [(b)] A director may be reimbursed for actual, | |
| 19 | 19 | reasonable expenses incurred in discharging official duties. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 21 | 21 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 22 | 22 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 24 | 24 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
