| 10 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 521, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 12 | 10 | | is amended by adding Section 521.011 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 11 | | Sec. 521.011. SERVICES INFORMATION FOR VETERANS. The |
|---|
| 14 | 12 | | department and the Texas Veterans Commission shall jointly develop |
|---|
| 15 | 13 | | for veterans who receive a driver's license or personal |
|---|
| 16 | 14 | | identification certificate with a veteran's designation a one-page |
|---|
| 17 | 15 | | informational paper about veterans services provided by this state. |
|---|
| 18 | 16 | | SECTION 2. Section 521.102, Transportation Code, is amended |
|---|
| 19 | 17 | | by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 20 | 18 | | (c) The department shall provide to the recipient of a |
|---|
| 21 | 19 | | personal identification certificate with a veteran's designation |
|---|
| 22 | 20 | | the informational paper described by Section 521.011 at the time |
|---|
| 23 | 21 | | the certificate is issued. |

| 24 | 22 | | SECTION 3. Section 521.1235, Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 25 | 23 | | amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 26 | 24 | | (c) The department shall provide to the recipient of a |
|---|
| 27 | 25 | | driver's license with a veteran's designation the informational |
|---|
| 28 | 26 | | paper described by Section 521.011 at the time the license is |
|---|
| 29 | 27 | | issued. |

| 30 | 28 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
