| 11 | 11 | | relating to liability of certain electric utilities that allow |

| 12 | 12 | | certain uses of land that the electric utility owns, occupies, or |

| 14 | 14 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 15 | 15 | | SECTION 1. Section 75.0022(b), Civil Practice and Remedies |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Code, is repealed. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | to a cause of action that accrues on or after the effective date of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | this Act. A cause of action that accrues before the effective date |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | of this Act is governed by the law applicable to the cause of action |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | immediately before that date, and that law is continued in effect |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | for that purpose. |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
