| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 12.1164, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 12 | 12 | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (a-1) Not later than the 10th business day after the date of | |
| 14 | 14 | receiving notice from the commissioner under Subsection (a), the | |
| 15 | 15 | Teacher Retirement System of Texas shall notify in writing the | |
| 16 | 16 | employees of the affected open-enrollment charter school who are | |
| 17 | 17 | contributing members of the retirement system of the revocation, | |
| 18 | 18 | denial of renewal, expiration, or surrender of the school's | |
| 19 | 19 | charter. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
