75 relating to designating the fourth Saturday in July as National Day

97 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
108 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
119 amended by adding Section 662.061 to read as follows:
1210 Sec. 662.061. NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY. (a) The fourth
1311 Saturday in July of each year is National Day of the Cowboy in
1412 recognition of the historic, cultural, and social contributions of
1513 the cowboy.
1614 (b) National Day of the Cowboy shall be regularly observed
1715 by appropriate ceremonies and activities.
1816 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1917 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2018 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2119 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2220 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
