44 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
55 AN ACT
66 relating to the creation and maintenance of a registry of
77 physicians co-managing patients with Licensees under Chapter 351,
88 Occupations Code
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 153, Occupations Code, is
1111 amended to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 153.017. COMANAGEMENT REGISTRY. (a) The board shall
1313 (1) maintain a registry of physicians engaged in the
1414 comanagement of patients under the provisions section
1515 351.3581, Occupations Code.
1616 (2) make the registry available to the public though the
1717 board's internet website, and:
1818 a. make the registry searchable by physician name, and
1919 county in which the physician lists the primary
2020 practice location;
2121 b. make searchable by licensee under Chapter 351,
2222 Occupations Code.
2323 (b) A physician engaged in comanagement of patients under
2424 this section shall provide the names and primary practice address
2525 of the licensees under Chapter 351 with whom the physician is
2626 comanaging patients.
2727 (c) A licensed physician engaged in comanagement under
2828 section 351.3581, Occupations Code, may update this
2929 information through the internet portal of the board
3030 through which other information is updated at any time,
3131 but shall do so at least annually.
3232 Section 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015
