                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 17, 2015      TO: Honorable Joan Huffman, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1727 by Creighton (Relating to the duties of the Title IV-D agency regarding the establishment, collection, and enforcement of child support.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code to provide clarification related to establishing, collecting, and enforcing child support by the state's Title IV-D agency (the Office of the Attorney General - Child Support Division).  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.The Office of the Attorney General, the Office of Court Administration, and the Department of State Health Services indicated the costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
