10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 2261.001(a), Government Code, is amended | |
12 | 12 | to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (a) This chapter applies only to each procurement of goods | |
14 | 14 | or services made by a state agency that is not [neither] made by the | |
15 | 15 | comptroller [nor made under purchasing authority delegated to the | |
16 | 16 | agency by or under Section 51.9335 or 73.115, Education Code, or | |
17 | 17 | Section 2155.131 or 2155.132]. | |
18 | 18 | SECTION 2. Sections 2261.001(c) and (d), Government Code, | |
19 | 19 | are repealed. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to | |
21 | 21 | a procurement made on or after the effective date of this Act. A | |
22 | 22 | procurement made before that date is governed by the law in effect | |
23 | 23 | immediately before the effective date of this Act, and the former | |
24 | 24 | law is continued in effect for that purpose. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
