| 10 | 8 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 201, Agriculture Code, is | |
| 11 | 9 | amended by adding Section 201.0225 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 10 | Sec. 201.0225. CARRIZO CANE ERADICATION PROGRAM. The state | |
| 13 | 11 | board shall develop and implement a program to eradicate Carrizo | |
| 14 | 12 | cane along the Rio Grande River. | |
| 15 | 13 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 16 | 14 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 17 | 15 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 18 | 16 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 19 | 17 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | |
