A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the exemption of certain mobility items and daily
general use items for the elderly to be exempted from sales taxes.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 151.313 Tax Code, is amended by adding
subsection (e) to read as follows:
(a) The following are exempted from the taxes imposed by
this chapter during first weekend in August of each fiscal year:
(1) Wheelchairs, walking canes, walkers, adult diapers, and
decompression socks.
This Act takes effect August 1, 2015.
