| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 531, Government Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 531.00551 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 531.00551. CONSOLIDATED INTERNAL AUDIT PROGRAM. (a) | |
| 13 | 13 | Notwithstanding Section 2102.005, the commission shall operate the | |
| 14 | 14 | internal audit program required under Chapter 2102 for the | |
| 15 | 15 | commission and each health and human services agency as a | |
| 16 | 16 | consolidated internal audit program. | |
| 17 | 17 | (b) For purposes of this section, a reference in Chapter | |
| 18 | 18 | 2102 to the administrator of a state agency with respect to a health | |
| 19 | 19 | and human services agency means the executive commissioner. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. Subchapter B, Chapter 531, Government Code, is | |
| 21 | 21 | amended by adding Section 531.02731 to read as follows: | |
| 22 | 22 | Sec. 531.02731. REPORT OF INFORMATION RESOURCES MANAGER TO | |
| 23 | 23 | COMMISSION. Notwithstanding Section 2054.075(b), the information | |
| 24 | 24 | resources manager of a health and human services agency shall | |
| 25 | 25 | report directly to the executive commissioner or a deputy executive | |
| 26 | 26 | commissioner designated by the executive commissioner. | |
| 27 | 27 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
