| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 825.404(a), Government Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) Except as provided by Subsection (a-1), during each | |
| 13 | 13 | fiscal year, the state shall contribute to the retirement system an | |
| 14 | 14 | amount equal to at least seven [six] and not more than 10 percent of | |
| 15 | 15 | the aggregate annual compensation of all members of the retirement | |
| 16 | 16 | system during that fiscal year. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
