7	5		relating to the date for publication of the factors considered for
8	6		admission to a new graduate and professional program.
9	7		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
10	8		SECTION 1. Section 51.842, Education Code, is amended by
11	9		adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
12	10		(e) Notwithstanding Subsection (d), if compliance with
13	11		requirements of an accrediting agency effectively prevent a general
14	12		academic teaching institution or medical and dental unit from
15	13		timely publishing the factors to be considered in admissions
16	14		decisions, the institution may delay publication of the factors,
17	15		but shall publish the factors as soon as practicable when
18	16		compliance with accrediting agency requirements permits.
19	17		SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
20	18		a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
21	19		provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
22	20		Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
23	21		Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
