| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, | |
| 11 | 11 | is amended by adding Section 504.4051 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 504.4051. COUNTY OFFICIALS. (a) In this section, | |
| 13 | 13 | "county official" means a person who serves in an elected county | |
| 14 | 14 | office, including a person elected by precinct. | |
| 15 | 15 | (b) The department shall issue specialty license plates for | |
| 16 | 16 | county officials. The license plates must include the words "County | |
| 17 | 17 | Official." | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
