The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code to specify the limit on the amount of wine manufactured or bottled by a winery permit holder that the permit holder could sell for off-premises consumption to ultimate consumers. Under the bill, a winery permit holder could not sell to ultimate consumers more than 25,000 gallons of wine that is not manufactured or bottled by the permit holder. The bill would raise the limit on the amount of wine that the holder of an out-of-state winery direct shipper's permit could sell to ultimate consumers to 155,000 gallons.The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015.
