7	5		relating to a report concerning information security for this
8	6		state's information resources.
9	7		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
10	8		SECTION 1. Section 2054.133, Government Code, is amended by
11	9		adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
12	10		(f) Not later than January 13 of each odd-numbered year, the
13	11		department shall submit a written report to the governor, the
14	12		lieutenant governor, and the legislature evaluating information
15	13		security for this state's information resources. In preparing the
16	14		report, the department shall consider the information security
17	15		plans submitted by state agencies under this section, any
18	16		vulnerability reports submitted under Section 2054.077, and other
19	17		available information regarding the security of this state's
20	18		information resources. The department shall omit from any written
21	19		copies of the report information that could expose specific
22	20		vulnerabilities in the security of this state's information
23	21		resources.
24	22		SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
