| 9 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 8 | | SECTION 1. The heading to Section 623.071, Transportation |

| 11 | 9 | | Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 10 | | Sec. 623.071. PERMIT TO MOVE CERTAIN [HEAVY] EQUIPMENT. |
|---|
| 13 | 11 | | SECTION 2. Section 623.071, Transportation Code, is amended |
|---|
| 14 | 12 | | by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 13 | | (c-1) The department may issue an annual permit that allows |
|---|
| 16 | 14 | | a person to operate over a state highway or road a vehicle or |
|---|
| 17 | 15 | | combination of vehicles that exceeds the length and height limits |
|---|
| 18 | 16 | | provided by law, except that: |
|---|
| 19 | 17 | | (1) the maximum length allowed may not exceed 110 |
|---|
| 20 | 18 | | feet; and |
|---|
| 21 | 19 | | (2) the maximum height allowed may not exceed 14 feet. |
|---|
| 22 | 20 | | SECTION 3. Sections 623.076(a) and (a-1), Transportation |
|---|
| 23 | 21 | | Code, are amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 24 | 22 | | (a) An application for a permit under this subchapter must |
|---|
| 25 | 23 | | be accompanied by a permit fee of: |
|---|
| 26 | 24 | | (1) $60 for a single-trip permit; |
|---|
| 27 | 25 | | (2) $120 for a permit that is valid for a period not |
|---|
| 28 | 26 | | exceeding 30 days; |
|---|
| 29 | 27 | | (3) $180 for a permit that is valid for a period of 31 |
|---|
| 30 | 28 | | days or more but not exceeding 60 days; |
|---|
| 31 | 29 | | (4) $240 for a permit that is valid for a period of 61 |
|---|
| 32 | 30 | | days or more but not exceeding 90 days; [or] |
|---|
| 33 | 31 | | (5) $270 for a permit issued under Section |
|---|
| 34 | 32 | | 623.071(c)(1) or (2); or |
|---|
| 35 | 33 | | (6) $960 for a permit issued under Section |
|---|
| 36 | 34 | | 623.071(c-1). |

| 37 | 35 | | (a-1) The following amounts collected under Subsection (a) |

| 38 | 36 | | shall be deposited to the general revenue fund, 90 percent of the |
