| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 2308.209(b), Occupations Code, is | |
| 10 | 10 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (b) This section applies only to the unincorporated area of | |
| 12 | 12 | a county: | |
| 13 | 13 | (1) with a population of 450,000 [550,000] or more | |
| 14 | 14 | that is adjacent to a county with a population of 3.3 million or | |
| 15 | 15 | more; | |
| 16 | 16 | (2) with a population of less than 10,000 that is | |
| 17 | 17 | located in a national forest; or | |
| 18 | 18 | (3) adjacent to a county described by Subdivision (2) | |
| 19 | 19 | that has a population of less than 75,000. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 21 | 21 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 22 | 22 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 24 | 24 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
