9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 51, Government Code, is | |
11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 51.3032 to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 51.3032. ELECTRONIC DISPLAY OF OFFICIAL AND LEGAL | |
13 | 13 | NOTICES BY DISTRICT CLERK. A district clerk may post an official | |
14 | 14 | and legal notice by electronic display, instead of posting a | |
15 | 15 | physical document, in the manner provided for a county clerk by | |
16 | 16 | Section 82.051, Local Government Code. | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
18 | 18 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
19 | 19 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
20 | 20 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
21 | 21 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
