| 10 | 8 | SECTION 1. Section 434.154(a), Government Code, is amended | |

| 12 | 10 | (a) The council may, by majority vote, establish the | |
| 13 | 11 | following coordinating workgroups to focus on specific issues | |
| 14 | 12 | affecting veterans, servicemembers, and their families: | |
| 15 | 13 | (1) health; | |
| 16 | 14 | (2) [or] mental health; | |
| 17 | 15 | (3) [(2)] employment; | |
| 18 | 16 | (4) [(3)] higher education; | |
| 19 | 17 | (5) [(4)] criminal justice; | |
| 20 | 18 | (6) [(5)] housing; | |
| 21 | 19 | (7) [(6)] transportation; | |
| 22 | 20 | (8) [(7)] women veterans; and | |
| 23 | 21 | (9) [(8)] any other coordinating workgroup considered | |
| 24 | 22 | necessary. | |
| 25 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | |
