64 AN ACT
75 relating to increasing the punishment for the offense of fraudulent
86 or fictitious military record.
97 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
108 SECTION 1. Section 32.54(c), Penal Code, is amended to read
119 as follows:
1210 (c) An offense under this section is a Class B [C]
1311 misdemeanor.
1412 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
1513 to an offense committed on or after the effective date of this Act.
1614 An offense committed before the effective date of this Act is
1715 governed by the law in effect on the date the offense was committed,
1816 and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. For
1917 purposes of this section, an offense was committed before the
2018 effective date of this Act if any element of the offense occurred
2119 before that date.
2220 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
